According to the results of the accreditation evaluation conducted in early 2019, the JCI re-accreditation of our hospital was officially certified by the headquarters of the Joint Commission International on June 4th, 2019.
Our efforts to ensure patient safety at every patient touchpoints also have been recognized internationally. Following 2015, we have been internationally proven the stability of the LEDAS treatment system by receiving JCI re-accreditation in 2019.
In the JCI re-accreditation evaluation, which was conducted within 4 full days, JCI was said that as the treatment environment was re-established through expansion and relocation in 2018, stricter standards were applied to the field of facilities and overall systems than the first evaluation.
According to the evaluation team in charge of the re-accreditation evaluation of LEDAS, the success of this re-accreditation was an obvious result because of the careful evaluation based on international safety standards scored high on all items.
The evaluation team said, “In the last 3 years since the first accreditation in 2015, the performance has been greatly improved in all sectors.” and “All employees are performing near-perfect work in all fields.” Also, they said, “The solid awareness of patient safety and the safety facilities are excellent.” emphasized the validity of the evaluation results.
As a result, Kim Byoung Joon LEDAS Varicose vein Clinic has maintained its qualification as a JCI-accredited varicose veins intensive care medical institution for three years following the first accreditation.
Currently, there are # of medical institutions that maintain JCI accreditation worldwide (0000.00.00), and among medical institutions that specialize in treating varicose veins, Kim Byoung Joon LEDAS varicose vein clinic is the only hospital that has obtained JCI accreditation.
